Welcome to School Of Arts Academy Of Dance, the longest Established dance school in Bondi with over 30 years experience. The school offers RAD ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary for students 3 and over.
Mishelle's teaching philosophy focuses on individual attention, discipline, creating a sense of achievement and self esteem in each child while instilling a love of dance, whether your child is dancing for fun or taking it a little more seriously.
The students have the opportunity to perform locally each year so that they can give back to their community whilst increasing their self esteem.
Director Mishelle Robinson specialises in the RAD Syllabus. We teach the RAD Program so that your child can express their creativity and increase their confidence in a safe environment with experienced teachers.
Mishelle provides students with the opportunity to enter RAD examinations. Her ability to inspire and motivate students and teach precise ballet technique, see them regularly achieving distinctions.
However, the school is more than just the outstanding delivery of RAD Syllabus. Mishelle employs capable and experienced teachers who are chosen, not only for their excellent qualifications, but also for their ability to enhance Mishelle's teaching philosophy in all style of classes.
School Of Arts Academy of Dance is a community-based dance school, a place were friendships are strengthened through the common interest of dance.
Classes begin from 3 years onwards, with our popular Budding Ballerinas class (3 and 4 years), which teaches rhythm, co-ordination, mime and love of music.
From Primary Grade onwards, children may participate in the RAD Exams and Assessments. These provide children with a goal to strive for and a wonderful sense of achievement.
Jazz, tap, contemporary & hip hop classes are also available for the children. These classes are great fun and improve fitness, flexibility and social skills, all the while Mishelle and her staff challenge the children to reach their full potential. We do recommend Jazz classes be undertaken in conjunction with classical classes to gain basic technical background which improves dance performance.
Contemporary classes are available for grade 2 up.
Hip hop classes are available for primary school students and up.
Fees are payable in the first two weeks of term. Payment plans are available.
Please let me know before the term begins if you wish to pay in installments.
There is a junior and senior Eisteddfod group your child can take part in if you are interested in them doing competitions.
This is a separate class to the normal classes during the week, and your child must take one ballet class a week to be part of the group.
Children perform at Nida for their end of year concert. Concert date TBA at the Parade theatre.
